We had the most beautiful day, viewing many different types of birds from all over the world.

It was so special, actually seeing many of our members birds in real life.

The African Grey, acted like a dog, digging and digging. :grey:

An Umbrella Cockatoo said "hello" to me :07:

The Lorikeets were so tamed, landed on our shoulder's, we fed them :rainbow1:

Naturally, I HAD TO kiss one of them

The bird show was fantastic, learnt so much about many birds

Below are beautiful pictures of a few of them (video of AG)

The birds sounds are all "humans" imitating different birds

What a great place. SA has lots of nice birds. Good job on the video. I would spend all day there. Rosie does that digging when she wants out of her cage. I think this is just an AG thing but not sure.

WOW!! I love it! The digging isn't just an AG thing, I know a cocky that tries dig out of the aviary. It is actually very sad, because he doesn't get any handling or decent food and he plucks ( I think he is wild-caught ). When I was two years old, my family went to a bird resort in Queensland. A lorikeet that was tame landed on my dad's head, and I was fasinated.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Great video, looks like you had so much fun :) I love the toucan!

It really was an amazing enjoyable day, I laughed so much at the AG, it was so cute. It took my kids 45 minutes to get me to leave the bird park. I kept saying I want to see this and that bird again, and take more pictures.
THEN they promised to take me to the Lion Park next month :D

This AG was so tamed, he walked up to everyone, let them stroke him etc.

There must have been about 60 lorikeets in the aviary. They were flying all over, landing on our heads and shoulders. I could have spent the entire day in their aviary. :red1:

If all us members on this forum could meet, somehow, somewhere in the world, say a bird park, imagine what a fun, memorable day we would all have

That is awesome... I wish we had something like that close to me. I would spend all day looking and taking pictures....

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us...

My daughter lives in Missouri and goes to a park where they have birds and butteflies flying around. She has a web site for her photography too if anyone is interested. The album is called the butterfly house.
