He was being so cute, he wanted so much attention. :p

Aww, thank you both : D
He also likes to talk to his toy's. c:

I love them as well, that's why I decided to get another one. :)

Nawww, my little Cody can wave but she can't talk, thanks for sharing :D

How cute is that! : )

The Alexandrines sure do look cool. One thing I've wondered about them though... what is their capacity like to learn tricks/words like? possibly meaning their intelligence? And what genus and family are they in? Thanks

edit Turns out they are in the Psittacidae family *True Parrots*
and
Psittacula genus, so same genus as the Rose-ringed Parakeet for example.

Cool

Thank you both :)

He learned the wave trick in 1 training session.
He also learned shake in 1 training session.
Target training didn't take long either, nor did "step up". 1 session as well. (were like 5-10min sessions)

I haven't had the time to teach him anything new lately though.
But he seems like a fast learner.

Ive only had him for like 5 months now. He was an aviary bird in bad condition (I saved him). Took a while to gain hes trust, at first he was frightened of everyone. Squawking at anyone that was 1meter away from his cage. Now hes very tame. He doesn't bite/or squawk (only when hes excited). In that time frame, he started to pick up on words "hello" "whats that" and hes still learning (saying lots of gibberish). He has a very clear voice which is also very sweet.

He knows what no means. (say that when he tries to climb up the curtains) tell him no and he climbs back down.

I would say he is intelligent, but then again I haven't meet other parrots such as african grey, etc.

Thank you, now he likes to say hello to his new friend Kashi.

He talks gibberish to her all the time. When they are eating together hes like's (when he goes to her) hello(says that many times to her). He starts talking gibberish then she finds a big piece of apple or something. Then he says what's that. It's so cute<3

How beautiful! I can't wait till Bert starts talking properly, he just sits in his cage and mumbles and squeaks to himself all the time!
How did you teach Mr. Parrot to wave?
