About 15 years ago I recieved this as a gift.

It sat on display for many years and then got put away.
I came across it recently and wondered why I didn't just make it into another t-stand.
So that's what I did.
The base is some sort of granite type stone so it has some weight to prevent tipping and the top of the post is threaded, so a pre-drilled hole made it easy to twist on a section of an old dowel perch.

While I'm at it, this one is made from an old wooden platter that I found in a give-away box about ten years ago.

This next one just got remade. Twenty years ago I bought a used fireplace screen at a second hand store to set up in front of a bird cage to keep the mess contained. It came with the stand/holder for the chimney tools, but no tools. I turned that stand into a t-stand. A few years ago the dowel perch fell off so I put it away to deal with later. Last weekend I finally put on a new piece of wood

I have a couple of commercially made stands and play gyms that have things for the birds to do, so these don't get used a lot, but it's still nice to have them.

Those are great. Using a platter as a base is just brilliant.

One more repurposed item made into a small bird perch.

This is a doll stand that I picked up at a craft store specifically to hang it sideways on the wall. It's obviously really only good for small birds. I had it hanging next to my desk for my parrotlet or pflb. I haven't actually used it in many years. I just put Hawkeye on it for the pic.

How very clever you are - and those are very nice.

Such a great idea repurposing to make such awesome stands! :)

Great job making those stands! :D

and here's my BFA on the former chimney tools stand, now bird stand.
