I got Rosalie from a local breeder (whom I got two of my other 'tiels from) who had Rosalie returned to her after raising a clutch of babies, but then continued laying eggs and as she laid each egg, they were taken away from her so of course, she laid more to replace them which pretty much drained all of her energy, oh and not to mention she and her mate were on an all seed diet, the previous owners didn't see the need for a 'tiel to have vegetables, seed, pellets, grains, lentils and such. :5_sad:
They also clipped one of her wings, and left the other one clipped which is a BIG no no - when she went to fly she'd plonk to the ground. She's also cage bound, she was locked up 24/7 with her "mate" (god do I feel so sorry for him) and was never let out.
I've had Rosalie for awhile now, she was checked out by the Avian Vet before I got her and had tests and etc done, only problem was her weight, she was very skinny, so my first thing to do was get weight on her and get her healthy again, which I succeeded in doing. I have recently taken her to the Avian Vet again and has got the all clear, her weight is perfect, she is perfect and fine! I feed her everything my other birds get, and she eats whatever's put in front of her, not a fussy 'tiel she is AT ALL, I've had no problems giving her any sort of food.
She gets along brilliantly with my other 'tiels, I have the male 'tiels in one cage, and the female 'tiels in another cage, so she lives with the female in their own big cage, happily, lol. She's also SO TAME and FRIENDLY, I really adore her, she loves head scratches more so then anything.
Okay, so enough of that, here's a few photo of my beautiful girl.
