my parrot swallowed a big bite without chewing it

guys i was feeding my 2 month old Alaxandrine parrot a french fry and he took a big bite and swallowed without chewing. His eyes immediately started watering up, i gave him some diluted bird feed. Any signs i should look for? He’s currently stretching his legs and grinding his beak, basically going about his normal business

He should be okay as long as he’s acting normal. This won’t kill him. I do strongly recommend against feeding him junk food, though, because it’s really unhealthy for birds (and humans, for that matter). In the future, if you really want to give him your food, break off a piece the size of his normal pellets and feed him that.

My avian vet warned me against French fries. My CAG loves them. I substitute sweet potato, air fried or baked in moderation. Your little is young and prone to bite, gulp eating. Small portions of solid food is advisable. Double check temperature for all foods.
