My sun conure wants to mate with my father

I have a 3 year old sun conure. Lately he's been attached to my dad and is showing mating behaviors around him.
We tried changing his diet, more sleep, removed all nesting opportunities, no touching where we shouldn't (always have), less time with dad, but nothing changed.
We're thinking of getting him a bird buddy but we don't want to new baby birds (we get so attached very easily and we dnt have space)
Is it a good idea to get him a bird from a different species? Like a cocktail? I really don't know what to do but i want to help him so bad.

Information about my bird:
We got him when he was a month old and I took care of his feeding and sleeping and all his needs.
I have 5 sisters with me and he used to play with all of us before , now we're a threat to him for some reason
No cage, only perch
We spoil him all the timr

I feel for you. I swear my 14 month old female budgie Joey that I hand raised is absolutely in love with me and my husband and would mate with us if she could! She lays a few eggs every few months even though I keep her away from all my male birds and take the eggs away as she lays them. Some sexusl behavior is unavoidable. Just be glad he's a male so you don't have

He may not get along with a male or female bird buddy of any species so don't get another bird unless you really want one. Keeping two birds that don't get along apart can be a lot of work and would require caging both of them separately with separate out if cage time.
