Crisis will last for at least several weeks and possibly 2 months or more
Complete shut down like in Italy and China is not off the table!

Um what does this mean?

I don't mean to sound like a dumb question is serious.
Would this mean only essential people go to work? Police, fire, water and power personal?

It could be the right move but I fear it is a day late and a dollar short.
just my opinion.

I think it free up FEMA to be involved. Which has more money , supplies, and personal to bring into play.

Meanwhile the Australian federal government, still reeling from their mishandling of our bushfire crisis earlier this year, has announced all non-essential public gatherings of 500 people or more will be banned from Monday. Because apparently the virus is taking the weekend off here, right? Riiiiiiiiiighhhhhhht!!
