So I just welcomed 2 new parakeets to my home. One of them is what you would expect a budgie to look like but the other one is albino (not lutino). It is with the albino one that I am having problems with. First off none of the birds like her or really interact with her at all. She seems to be lacking all social skills and regularly acts awkward around her cage mate and my 2 other parakeets. On top of this she seems to have disproportionate body parts. Her beak seems too big along with her feet and her tail and wings seem to small. Not only are her feet too big but she is double jointed as well. When she walks she has her face to the ground and nearly trips. My girlfriend and I believe that she may have vision problems due to being albino and her lack of color may be why the other birds outcast her. She is also having issues adjusting to being handled and gets aggressive at times. She cant even grasp the step up concept which the other birds learned in a day or two. Is my bird retarded or just disabled because of her albinoism. Any insight or advice is greatly appreciated.
