Need to rehome Conure

Hi everyone. It pains me to write this but my family and I need to move ASAP and the place we are moving to doesn’t allow pets. We have a 8 year old Green Cheeked Conure (Tommy). Does anyone know how I can get him adopted or anyone in the area (CT) looking to adopt? He’s a great bird and I love him. He’s a turquoise yellow sided green cheeked. Comes with big cage.

Sorry you have to give him up, but these things happen. I'm too far away to offer help, but I recommend going onto local facebook pages to your area like pets or birds rehoming pages in your area. There are lots of great people out there looking for a bird to love on, you just have to know how to find them. Best of luck!!!

Hello. I am possibly also too far away to help, but I would love to have a green-cheek! I’m in Indianapolis and we have a cockatiel who’s about 4 months old. Have you found a home for Tommy?

There are 2 parrot clubs in CT, both have excellent adoption programs. Our own Long Island Parrot Society has close links with them, we just had a joint Zoom meeting with them last week.

Connecticut Parrot Society - Home is one, I forget the name of the other one.
