Nesting green cheek

My female has decided that a dark corner under a shelf with no nesting material directly on the carpet is her nest. I'm not sure if I should offer nesting material, try to move the nest (that seems very wrong) or just leave her to hatch babies on the carpet? Nothing can get to her except the male who seems to know his place. Any suggestions would be very welcome!

Immediately remove her from that spot and dont allow access to any dark places unless you intend on breeding them. Please, please do not allow them to reproduce if you do not have experience hand raising baby parrots, have a vet on stand by, and room for a whole clutch worth more of birds if nobody takes them.

She's sitting on 3 eggs so removing her isn't easy at this point. Her vet happens to be one of the best around and is sought after by bird owners in many north western states, I'm fortunate as he is only 45 minutes from us. So, I have great medical care if needed.
I really didn't expect her to use a corner on the floor. Her sitting on the carpet in a corner is concerning to me.
I'm thinking my best solution at this time is to replace her eggs with fake eggs.
Does anyone have experience with using fake eggs and does it work?

If she already laid the eggs then disregard what I said. Yes, fake eggs work well and many people here use them.

I just wanted to let you know, I swapped 7 fake eggs for the 4 that had been laid so far. The female was off the nest while this was done. She went back to the nest when she finished her breakfast and simply laid on them as if nothing happened. YAY!! No unwanted birdie babies!!

I post this for those that may run into a situation, please don't let negative feedback deter you. Don't feel like you've done something wrong because your female found a place to lay eggs. Let me tell you, they are determined!

It's OK to learn and raise babies if that is what you want to do, I'm just not ready this time. I'll think about it in the future, but fake eggs are perfect to keep her from having babies until you are ready!

Of course its no ones fault that their bird wants to nest, but too many people come on here and end up with babies which they dont know what to do with and the whole clutch dies - a lot of people arent responsible enough to realize they are not ready to take on that responsibility like you did, cause its a huge one, so thank you for that as well!
