Parrots
Parakeets
Hi I recently acquired two Parakeets. I bought them little nests so they are comfortable. They pick the nests apart u till there is nothing left. Just curious why they do this?
Your comments are appreciated. I still have a lot to learn about them.

Nests meaning huts? Happy huts?
Take them out. They make birds extremely hormonal and if the bird chews the fuzzy fibers, they can become impacted or get tangled (and possibly die) in loose strands. Even if it's made of safe material like seagrass, it still encourages hormonal behavior.
