Hi everyone. I have been slyly reading posts and information gathering for a few months on here whilst waiting the hatching and collecting of my new baby
Yesterday I collected my Yellow Crowned Amazon Jadey.
She seems to like her new home and has been exploring her cage (which is convinently taking up my usual 'christmas tree spot' so the tree has been relegated into a corner lol.
I do have a query about a sneezing issue, she has sneezed a few times and had the occasional bit of clear discharge and 'bubble'. Googling this obviously made me very neurotic! I rang the breeder who said to keep an eye on her and that it could just be change in environment.
Upon inspection one of her 'nostrils' was blocked so I cleaned that off and the discharge is less (sometimes not at all, sometimes a bit of a bubble). I wondered if the two hour car journey (with heating on) combined with change on environment/central heating is just taking her some getting used to? I took her in the bathroom today for a bit of a steam, and have a dish of water on the radiator - this made a difference. She sneezed again with a bubble after eating some seeds (she is also on pellets but weaning off the seeds). Eating and drinking fine, playing and chattering. Was considering a trip to the vets on tuesday to have a check over, but don't want to put her in risk if she is fine.
Has anyone experienced this before? Am I being over cautious?
Thank you in advance!
