New B&G Macaw Owner

I've been a "lurker" here for a couple of weeks..I like this forum and have found it very friendly & informative....

We (hubby & I) will soon be the new parronts of a 6 month old blue & gold macaw. We've had birds in the past but this is a PLUNGE for us!

I have always said that we need more active BIG MAC owners around here! Welcome to the forums, and I am sure that if you have any questions about B&G Macs you could ask "flyte" (where have you been girl ... come on back now) who has Madison. Or you could ask Birdan660 anything about your Mac he is amazing when it comes to bird behavior in general!

Thanks, Tex & Tracy...we won't be picking her up until 2/10, as we're going on vacation in a couple of weeks and didn't want her to be home, happy & free - then "abandoned" for a week. A pet sitter would come in but, for a new bird, that's just too much!
