Pineapple Green Cheek Conure, and now a Cockatiel?
So, I had been doing research for about a month, and picked up a pineapple gcc over the weekend. At first I didn't know what to name him\her (DNA test pending). But after the last two days of him snuggling between the couch and my neck, rubbing his face on my arm, playing with my neck chain, falling asleep on my chest\stomach while watching tv, & wanting to eat everything
i have, I thought "what a little nut"! So, his\her name is now Peanut.

Oh, I LOVE the picture... to me, the expression seems to say "yes, I am beautiful"...

Aren't Green Cheeks just the best??????

I'm glad you two are here. Welcome to our community.

Awwww yissss pictures!

You've fed us hungry picture devourers.

Welcome to the forum, Peanut is a total squish! (That er, that means cute. In my weird language.)

Good on you for researching before buying, it's something criminally uncommon in the pet bird world. I bet you're glad you knew what to expect too.

I was reading some of the new owner posts, and I think I got lucky with Peanut. He\she is 4mo old would step up on my finger after 2 days, and is now flying to me when I get "too far away". This seems to be one of his favorite lounge spots.

Haha yeah! I read all sorts of horror stories with others and I’m like “man, I got the conure sent from Heaven or something. Warbeak is an angel compared to what you guys are going through (lol)”. Warbeak used to bite though. Only took him 2-3 days of training for him to stop. Save that and bullying my little ones, there’s really no problems with him. Guess both you and I lucked out here. No extra trust training needed. Already comes full of wanting your undying affection. ;) welcome to the community. I promise your conure will never give you a dull moment.
