new guy/new bird

Guess I took a big plunge today and adopted a yellow nape amazon. She is 12 years old and was well adjusted for her former owner who could no longer care for, because his age and health. Brought her home in her own cage today. She is eating and drinking normal, but she is shy. I will give her all the time and space she needs. This is my first larger bird, so ill be very much a learning experience, but I look forward to it. Thanks for letting me in and I look forward to learning from the forum.
