New here and new AGC owner

Yikes....went to get my teenage daughters a Pionus for Christmas and ended up getting an AGC while I was there. Poor fellow has no feathers behind his head (or her) dont know his name nor age. Hasn't bitten but can't get close to him (runs around cage)...I know that will take time if he was ever tame to begin with. Cages horrid wish I could have bought them all!! Pointers, tips.... I have a vet appointment tomorrow though not certified I'm not finding one anywhere near me. He doesn't scream but he does growl.
