Good Morning Everyone!

My name is Leslie and I recently adopted an Umbrella Cockatoo from a family who had only had him for 3 months and couldn't handle him biting everyone but the husband. They had no idea of his age, nor do I obviously.....

He has been with us for 3 weeks, and besides minor mouthing when upset, has been wonderful with both my husband and I.

I am here to learn more about the do's and don'ts of U2's as I realize they are a bird onto themselves!

So far Mickey has been a wonderful guy, who screams only at sundown...and we have learned if we leave the light on until the cage is covered, not even then.

We are looking forward to many, many years of sharing our home with this amazing bird!
