Parrots
And then there were four.
Charlie (cinnamon conure)
Maverick (pineapple conure)
Phoenix (high red yellow sided conure)
New baby (moon cheek conure)
I'm Kate, and we have just said yes to two conures. A baby green cheek and a baby pineapple. Both coming home mid/late march. My son turns 16 on Thursday and has wanted a conure for 6 years. We know that conures are a long term commitment. While my son plans to go away to college the conures, Maverick and Charlie, will stay with me. Once he graduates we will decide what is best for the birds. They will always have a home here if he isn't in a position to care for them. We are here trying to soak up everything we can before the big homecoming.

Hi ! Curious why 2 parrots for a first experience?

I grew up with an African grey and a scarlet macaw. Not a total newbie, but I imagine husbandry has come a long way in the last 20 years so I thought I’d get on here and try to learn the newer better methods before bringing these babies into our home.
