So a few weeks a go I got a lovebird and my friend who has a scarlet macaw is getting a new bigger cage for him and she offered my his old cage after she cleans it up. She used to use it for her breeding cockatiels until she got the macaw. I love the size of the cage, but I am not completely sure about the bar spacing. It is a 3/4" bar spacing. Some websites I have read have said that they can be in 3/4" and others say that they shouldn't go over 5/8". So is 3/4" too big for him. His head measures about an 1 1/4" with his feathers close to his head.
He is 3-5 months old now and the cage he is in is 1/2" spacing but is kinda on the small side for my liking at only 18x18x24.

Thanks for the help
