Hello everyone,
I'm a new member here, and I hope to learn a lot to improve the lives of my three birdies: Ducky, Bluebell, and Kermit! I would like to introduce you to my flock:
Bluebell is my first bird. She's a normal blue budgie, and she is very social! She always likes to visit me at whatever I'm doing, and helping to clean the cages! She really likes my cat Milo, and flies over to him when he enters the room! Of course, I always supervise those two and put Bluebell in her cage when Milo pays a visit to the bird room. I used to let her interact with Milo outside of the cage. Milo would never purposely try to catch her, but one day Bluebell literally flew in his face and Milo was a little annoyed, so he pawed at her. Now, I try my best to keep Milo out of the bird room, and put the birds in their cages when he does sneak his way in.
Ducky is my lutino cockatiel. He is quite a needy little guy. He always wants to be out and on me, and flies away when it's time to go back in the cage. After I get him in, he calls out to me as I leave the room. He's a great flier and loves to fly laps around the room, and fly to me of course. He is a very smart birdie and can do about 10 different tricks, from coming on command to shooting hoops. He loves head scratches, and "bows" when he wants to be rubbed. It's a 'tiel thing. When he's out, all he wants to do is be on me. Place him on a perch, and he'll be flying back to you before you even sit down. When he's on you, he just likes to sit quietly and preen.
Kermit is my yellow sided green cheek conure. He's new here, and I've only had him for about a week. He loves to cuddle and get scratches, and hang upside down from his cage, or my finger! I've noticed he's much more playful than my budgie and cockatiel, he likes to lay on his back in my hand, hang by one foot, and do acrobatics. He also LOVES fruit, unlike my other birds. Especially blueberries. I plan on teaching him tricks, like Ducky, and I already know what his first trick will be: play dead! Something I've never been able to teach my cockatiel, who hates being upside down. He's currently clipped, though he can still fly quite well, but I'm waiting for him to molt so he can be fully flighted, just like Ducky and Bluebell.
As you can see, all my birds have their own unique personalities and I love sharing things about my birds! Now let's see your birdies!
