New member with Amazon!

I am the lucky owner of a 22 year old male Double Yellow Head. He is a rescue that I have had for 10 months. He is the most lovable, well behaved bird I have ever had. I always tell him I don't know what I did to deserve him! I found him in the classifides and as a cage bound parrot with an overgrown beak living in filthy conditions, all with a hefty price tag! When I saw him, the money became unimportant, he needed a chance. I was told that he attacked the owner once and that was it . In the cage for seven years! is amazing what some love and good food can do,he ate only peanuts and sunflower seeds all of his life. He transitioned to Harrison's and fresh foods quickly. He is a great talker and singer and loves my son, my dog, my rabbit and me! He has been to the vet several times and I am told he is healthy. He is now in great feather and beak. My friends are sick of hearing about him so I joined this forum of other proud parrots! I am unsure how to upload pics, but will try later.

Wow, with all those birds your house must be nuts! I would love it. My favorite thing to do is to get Paco, my dog and my teenage son all singing with me. When we are done, we clap and Paco yells Yay!
