Hello! I joined this forum some years back but never found time to post or read. Now I have joined again.
I am a long time but very small-scale parrot owner. We had two lovely cockatiels for many years, one died (after 18 yrs) and the second flew out the door one sunny day. Devastated! I adopted a two senegals that were a difficult fit, and finally passed them on to a close (male) friend. The birds and friend are very happy together. I bought a young CAG 6 years back and she is a wonderful, sweet, and funny bird. Jealous of my younger daughter (who is now 18) but it is very managable. She travelled with us when we moved to live in Veitnam for 4 years, I had the dubious honor of owning the only CAG in northern Vietnam. Now we are back in the States, Pax travelled well and adjusted well both coming and going.
Now I am thinking to purchase (or adopt) a second bird, would love to get a Cape parrot, and joined to Forum as a source of information and camraderie.
