New Owner

So my wife let me get a bird, I went with a Sun Conure because I love the colors. ... This bird has so much attitude, I love it.

Congratulations! I am a fairly new Conure owner also. I realllly wanted to get a Sun Conure but I live in a townhouse with thin walls and was afraid that a Sun might be too loud. Their colors are amazing.

I decided on a Pineapple GCC. Good luck!

I just brought home my Sun on Saturday! They’re such great birds. I’m glad we have this forum because this is a big step for me. I’ve only had parakeets prior to this guy.

I do worry about the temp in the house right now. Wife likes to keep the temp 67-70.
She went on her first car ride today, took my son to banjo practice and I had been gone most the day so I took her to wait in the car with me.
Was expecting to go deaf in my left ear but she didnt yell but a few times. Did not seem too nervous.
I did however put a new toy in her cage, well a rope perch that you shape and form...she was scared of it so I just eased her into giving it a try. She still doesnt use it much but she isnt scared anymore.
