Galah: Marley
Hi y'all,
I'm new here and I look forward to learning advices and tips from you guys!
A little background:
I've had three cockatiels in the past, Shiny, Blessy and Shiny the 2nd.
I'm getting a baby RB2 in 3 weeks!:D

That's pretty much all I have to say but I hope I'll take on board a lot of stuff over the next (big number) years!

Thanks in advance!:)

Welcome to the forums! Congrats in advance for your future new addition. We have a great group of parrot lovers and galah enthusiasts.

welcome to the board. I bet you can't wait to get your birdy.

Welcome to the forum!!!! RB2s are my favorite and I LOVE seeing pictures of other parronts' galahs! Do you have any baby pics of her or him yet? I assume you're getting her/him from a breeder since she's/he's a baby?

Thank you all so much for your replies.
Yes, she/he is from a breeder (getting DNA'd)
Unfortunately I don't have any photos but I expect to be visiting her again in two weeks just to make sure I've got all the stuff. I'll try get some pics in then!
I have one quick question: I'm planning on keeping track of my galah's weight so what would a 12week old galah weight?
Thanks again :)

I am sorry I don't know but wonder if the breeder is keeping records of him/her? If so perhaps you could have a copy?

Puck maybe able to answer that one for you when on next?

Hello, and welcome!
Glad you're here!

Welcome, and thanks for joining! Stunningly beautiful choice for your new parrot! I'll bet three weeks won't come fast enough!!

I'm afraid I'm also not aware what a 3 month old should weigh. I know on average adults weigh between 280-380 grams with females weighing slightly less than males on average, but I don't know the specifics of babies. Is the breeder known for being reliable? If you don't know much about her, I can email the breeder I got my rb2 from and see if she knows--I found her to be very reliable and trustworthy during our interactions and we talked on the phone several times.

Yes, my breeder is a reputable breeder. I'll ask to see if they can give me some info on galah weights. Thank you anyways!

You are on the right track, weight is important! Many parronts have inexpensive gram scales to keep track and notice any significant change.
