Einstein a 17 year old BFA
Penny a 21 yr old CAG
Hi,
I have had a BFA for almost 17 years, just recently became the owner of a 21 year old CAG, I have 2 cats, a yorkie, a 20 yr old daughter off at college and a husband.

I do not know alot about Greys and thought I should learn as much as I can, I got her from my older sister, and can ask her anything specific, but thought I should join a group with people who may have added an older grey into their household, and the best way to help her as my sister had her since she was 9 weeks old, it was her Husbands bird, and as much as she likes Penny, she doesn't have the time to spend with her, and I have a 17 year old BFA that I have had since she was 9 months old, she thought maybe she would be happier with more attention.

Welcome, Einstein and Penny are beautiful!!

Amazons and Greys have very different personalities and your progress with Penny may be a bit different. Greys are highly intelligent, sensitive, and often resistant to change.

Hi love the pics of your BFA and your newly adopted Grey...I know you will get lots of helpful tips and advice here

Hello and welcome! Einstein and Penny are both beautiful:)
I'm so glad you joined us and I look forward to hearing more about your flock:)

Thank you guys, I got a BFA way back for their personality and way they can go with the flow. I know Penny will be different, but she is fun so far, she makes the best sounds, and can whistle like a dream. Einstein talks and screams, not really a noise/whistler that girl. I love the link for CAG have read it, and have been researching as much as I can, I haven't gotten bitten yet, but I know that is coming. its all part of the learning process with birds, I think, especially the older guys, that dont really know you.

Hi, welcome to the forum :)! Beautiful birds you have.

A warm welcome to you, Einstein, and Penny! Beautiful fids you have there!
