Newbie intro

Hi! I'm new here to the forum as well as the bird life. I have not yet brought home my feathered friends, but will soon be the proud owner of a fiery shouldered conure and, soon after, a sun conure! I'm here to connect with other bird owners, conures specifically, to learn and get advice. Maybe one day I will be the one giving the advice! Lol

I know you'll learn AND contribute a lot.
Ummm... for example... I can't wait to see photos of your birds!!!

By the way... some thoughts on multiple birds...
Fortunately (unfortunately?) the Rb is so aggressive and territorial that I've never even dared to think of another bird...
Many here have found that they have to separate birds permanently... some have been fortunate and multiple birds get along.
You just never know! Never, ever.
Good for you for being so responsible and serious, and for reaching out!
I think that as long as you're willing to deal with whatever happens (e.g., separating them, if needed, handling added expenses, etc.), you sound like a great parront.

Welcome! Glad you are here - lots of conure parronts around to answer questions and tons of great threads to read. Congratulations on your upcoming new additions....hope you’ll share pictures when they come home!

Gail raises some great thoughts about having multiple birds - sometimes they love each other and sometimes they don’t . I’m a perfect example of both lol - I have 2 conures that share a cage by choice (sun & GCC), and another sun that prefers her own cage. My cockatiel ignores all the conures and has her own cage too.
