It’s like they’re friendly but also aggressive and testing each other. Right before this Yuri was preening Ona’s tail and trying to regurgitate for her. She’s only 6 months old. Ona will waver between nice preening to aggressive preening. My best guess is they’re figuring out boundaries and Ona is trying to establish dominance? (would not surprise me)

It seems normal for them to test each other. I think they just need supervision until you're certain Ona won't get too "aggressive" though it looks more "forward" and "confident" than "aggressive" to me.
If you aren't certain they may just need separate cages indefinitely. Not the end of the world. You only have two birds.

Oh yeah, they will be in separate cages regardless so that’s not an issue. I agree it seems like testing and Ona trying to make it know that she’s the head honcho.

As long as Yuri doesn't try to be head honcho too there shouldn't be a big problem. You may not know Yuris true nature until she goes through puberty.

What if Yuri is setting Ona up. Then poor misunderstood Yuri gets what she wants. I believe most anything with parrots. After all Nameliss forced me to give my daughter an ultimatum. Neuter the two fighting cats or get rid of one. Unfortunately(?) for the cats it was Nameliss doing a perfect enactment of them fighting. She mimicked completely the wall crashes and thumps, books hitting floor as well as yowls, screeching, etc. This wasn't discovered until after the operations. Then by accident. Cats went to vet for follow-up and yet they were fighting in next room.

I knew it! There was something about whats-her-name that I've been uneasy about. Was it the heavy white eyeliner? Or that gaudy necklace? And where is she hiding her tail? Is that a fashion statement or something else? It's none of these suspicious attempts at disquising her true identity- it's been right in front of me the whole time- it's her NAME and how she pronouces it with that odd raspy dialect- Yuri is a Russian spy! And she's playing coy to try to recruit Ona to join in her mission to learn the secrets hidden in Lorens laptop!
