I made some posts these days talking about the sudden infestation of (possible) megabacteria in my flock, 2 of them died and one is sick with the same symptoms.

My vet was prescribing detox and antibiotics, but shes not an avian vet. I managed to get contact of a vet who has a yt channel of 100k+ subscribers about parrots, and he said i should give nystatin (0,3/0,4 in a 1cc syringe) even to my 2 Conures who dont have contact with the budgies and cockatiel. Im going to wake up as early as possible tomorrow to buy it, anyone has had experience with nystatin?

The one he recommended is for humans, even has cherry flavor

He also said to give biovicerin if someone appears to have diarrhea

Nystatin is an antifungal. I looked up using Bacillus cereus probiotics in birds and it says it's helpful. I'm not qualified to say anything other than that and to recommend doing what an avian vet recommends. Does this vet know you've had 2 very recent deaths from him 6h

Yes i told everything that happend, he said its all classic megabacteria symptoms

That's great. Is the other female still sick?
Sadly she also died today before i could even give her the medicine, these past days doesnt even feel real, so depressing. I threw away the cage, perches, bowls and the blanket of her cage, hopefully no other bird will be infected

So sorry. 😞 I hope the new medication helps prevent issues with your other birds.

How horrible! If my flock of budgies started dying like this I would be devastated! Your poor birds and poor you! Please take deep breaths. It helps when feeling overwhelmed with grief, trust me.
How many budgies do you have left? We're they caged with any of the ones that died? Are they getting medicine? What's your plan for now? Try to disinfect as much stuff as you can that your birds use or contact with. This is obviously an Infectious disease. A nightmare, indeed!

I have only 4 budgies now, all males, not too long ago i used to have 3 cages, one with 5 budgies, one with 4 budgies and a tiel (they are only inside the cage to sleep, in the rest of day they are out, in a room just for them) and the other one with my 2 conures (who also only are in the cage to sleep, rest of the day they are with me)

Now for the budgies/tiel i use just one cage, they did used to share cage with the budgies who died. I feel bad in particular for a male that lost 2 partners, and my tiel who lost her best and only friend, these 2 girls were best friends for almost 8 years.

I did started with the medicines, im just in doubt if i give it to my conures or not, now gotta wait for the exams to see if i keep with this medicine or change it to a more aggresive one, i should have sent the exams last week or a few days ago but it didnt worked out due to bad luck and by a mistake by my vet, hopefully this weekend we will already know the results, i already collected more poop today.

Also thanks for your comments and your help! I really appreciate it!

I'm leaning towards giving it to everyone too. Check to see what vector is; perch, cage, dishes, air, carpet etc. Then clean as well as possible to eliminate it. Sorry for your loss. Take care of yourself so you can take care of them!!
