obsessed Parrott lol

Hi everyone,, i have a 2 year old Male Ecelectus,,, he is my baby,, He is an absolute chatterbox,, its amazing how much he has learnt too say already. The only problem i have with him is he is obsessed with me,, he CONSTANTLY wants too be ON me.

You really need to have lots of toys for him to play with in his cage. It's wonderful that he wants to be ON you all the time, but it can become a major problem down the road. He needs to learn to play by himself at times without you.

I also need to add that yours a hard thing to seperate once you are trying to bond with a bird. You always want to balance out your time with him plus alone time or else you will have one needy, squawky, screaming bird everytime you leave him alone or leave the room or have to go some place. This would cause a major issue for the people around you and then eventually YOU.

Thankyou for your replies,, he actually does have loads of toys everyone who sees his cage comments on that,, he also has a very large cage he is very spoilt,, but still prefers too be with me.
