Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
The little green dino fell and it was once again my fault!

I asked her to step up onto her perch stick which she did. I always rotate the stick so she hangs upside down and then I twittle it back and forth to rock her back and forth..it's just a "thing" we do and she seems to enjoy it.
Well she stepped up and I forgot that she just had her nails done the other day and I guess I didn't give her enough time to sink what nails she does have into the stick before I rotated it to have her hang upside down, and she lost her grip and went THUD about two feet, onto the hardwood floor:eek: She didn't even have time to TRY and open her arms to try to fly.

I screamed AMY! as she rolled from her back to her feet and she said "huh?".
So I picked her up and kissed her back and asked for forgiveness which she did :) I feel like such a bad dad :o

Aw! Stressful! I am glad she seems to be okay!
When I adopted Noodles (hated the name), I wanted to change it but never did because she knew it.
I have yelled "Noodles!" or, "Noodles, NO!" with the passion of a Lifetime original movie, or a dramatic scene from Downton Abbey! Funny how that happens! Always in times of perceived danger lol.

Oh geez! I’m glad he’s okay! Yikes!

Aww....glad you are forgiven.

You are fully aware that there will be a required equal amount of bloodletting required to offset this infraction. May you recover prior to Christmas. :D
Very happy that Amy is okay my friend!

A great save! Bet that gave your ticker a scare, Jim!

whoops! Like they say accidents do happen.

Hopefully Amy just sees this as the branch was a little less stable this time. She probably didn't even realize she fell, just suddenly on the floor with a quite literal "huh?"

LOL you got there first Scot! I wanted to say "that is not a great way to give yourself a cardio-workout".

Glad Amy seems fine though.

I'm not going to even start to list the accidents that have happened because I wasn't thinking...they usually result in some screaming at me, me crying and saying "I'm so sorry" over and over again, and then many, many sunflower seeds, nuts, and all kinds of food they shouldn't have...

Jim, my friend, Amy will never have a better friend, Daddy, protector, guardian Angel than you, and I think he knows that.

Jim, I agree with Al, Amy couldn't search the planet and find a better Pops! The fact that you and Amy do the upside down trick on a regular basis speaks loudly of the strong bond you share. Sounds like Amy is no worse for wear, probably much more traumatic for you.
