A crossover Quaker Scuti (F), A Sun conure named AC, A Cinnamon Green Cheek conure Kent, and 4 budgies, yellow (m), clark Jr. (m), Dot (f), Zebra(f).
So previous attempt I moved the budgies upstairs to protect the babies and both passed, as the mothers didn't recognize their nests in the new safe room. My mistake. https://www.parrotforums.com/threads/new-baby-and-tragedy-but-opportunity.105401/page-2#post-1102216

This time I left them in place and it seems like the two Conures and the Quaker are more on board. I've left them in place.

Dot now has two babies with down feathers even some with proto feathers, (I can see stripes on heads, Zebra has at least one pinkie with a full crop last time I looked today.) I have a Samsung Galaxy 25 but it cant seem to shoot inside the box. GD it.

One thing I noticed, I am having to put out seed millet broccoli in the morning and then again when I get home from work! They are like horses loose in a grain barn. Apples are also getting getting demolished. Grapes as well but that's normal.

In a week or two the babies may try to venture out, and end up on the floor? Now........

This is when they are going to be the most vulnerable I have metal plates on the boxes for now to keep bigger birds away so they are insulated. Should I pull them out before they try to fly and manage everything separate in like plastic bins and only let them out when I'm there?

I can put them in their own room, but last time the moms forgot they had kids because of it.

The bigger birds.... the sun conure the biggest and strongest one, AC wouldn't hurt them. The GCC is so infatuated with them he'd bite just out of excitement....also has been known to start a fight. The Quaker parrot, a female seems ok with Dot, but hates Zebra and her baby in a box for some reason.

If anyone has some Ideas I'd appreciate. If these babes make it there will be baby pictures and a name my new baby budgies thread.... not going that far yet till they can fly away from danger.

Yeah that is the best I can deliver for now sorry.

I would do what I could to keep the babies safe. They can't protect themselves, only you can do that. I don't know your set up well enough to make specific suggestions.

Basically the entire downstairs is a man cave and an aviary. All the birds love the cages, but are not bound to them and can move about. The big birds will be pissed that they aren't in the man cave. I'll figure it out maybe. I guess next question how long after they feel ready until the babies can actually fly?
