OMG for the record, this is what molting looks like

I've seen a few feathers come loose, no bald spots or anything, I knew he was molting. But my GOD!!!!

But I had no idea he was molting like this. Must be his version of the terrible twos.

For the record I keep my bedroom dark, (day sleeper) so I hadn't noticed this, and although he doesn't sleep with me, I sometimes let him sleep on the bed or in the headboard cubbies when I'm at work at night....


I need to get my shop vac in here, and rotate the sheets and pillowcases..... And yes Clark is fine he has all new feathers for the ones that came out. and he's happy and lovey as always.

When they molt, it looks as though a bird has exploded in the room. Then they enter the "cactus phase" where they're attitude is as prickly as all their new little pin feathers

he never got prickly, I notices some pin feathers but I mean they came out and sheathed fine, I figured it was just the ones I saw him loose.

Syd lost his 2nd tail feather today. That I can cope with. The rest? - It's like we've had a pillow fight!

I KNOW RIGHT! Only much less women sleeping over doing the pillow fight. Only a cute bird. Meh, it's a wash.

Ohhh yes! I was in absolute shock to see just how many feathers were around our living room... some got across the entire room somehow!

LOL Last night I was out - opened my glasses case and out flew a feather. I got some very odd looks!

I found feathers in my bathroom. Bumble never goes in there. It's crazy!
