I was thinking about buying some bulk toy parts (and other stuff) from EBay/Amazon but was concerned about them being safe.

On a side note...My Vet and some sites say to NEVER buy any product from places that sell birds due to possible contamination from airborne bacteria.

Places like My Safe Bird Store are most likely indeed...Safe. But what about other sites like eBay?

I'm sure many people have had no problem whatsoever, for many many years, and have purchased a ton of stuff from stores that sell birds; but now that this concern has been planted in my head, I am concerned about it.

With EBay, we probably have no idea where these parts are coming from. Amazon is probably a little better. Maybe?

Any real reason to be concerned or am I making a mountain out of a mole hill?

I like California Bird Nerds for bulk toy parts personally, but MSBS is good too.

I have ordered off amazon before, but have also always been leery of ordering off ebay. Not sure why, as I order plenty of human things used and new off ebay, but just kind of afraid with bird stuff for some reason. I usually go with my gut on those sorts of things, even if there's no logical explanation. Don't forget Etsy as well for toy parts!
