Ordered 2 flight harnesses yesterday

I have no ideal if they are the right size or not. Ace is still very shy of me. Jet is okay with me. I wonder how long it will take to get Jet used to the harness.

Did you get an Aviator harness? If so, what sizes did you get?
I use an Aviator for my cockatiel and GCCs. They're wonderful but take a bit of work to train your birds to use them.

Petite is the size for both of your birds, if it's an Aviator.

It's not an aviator. It just said adjustable flight harness. They didn't cost much so if they don't fit I'll just give them away.

I got the a Aviator a week ago and today Sammy stuck his head through the tiny hole to get seeds... One time so far that the whole harness slipped on and he freaked out! But after I "rescued" him from it he was still willing to put half his head in to get the seed, so I guess we are doing good. He is letting me handle him more and more (I can cup his whole body when he is comfy in his cage and touch his back when he is out and excited, which is much more than I could do when I got him). I don't know how long it will take to fully get the harness on, though. I would say don't rush it!

I won't rush it. Thanks for the advice. Aces will sit for awhile since he's still not no dead that we'll. When it arrives I'm just gonna show it to Jet the first day or so.

Really work hard on touching under the wings, on the belly, etc. work on getting them to let you pull a shoe lace over their backs and under their wings, etc.

On the subject or flight harnesses, i love to get one for my quaker. I used to take him outside when he was little and his wings were clipped. But the dogs scared him once and i lost him for a whole day, we never went outside again. But im curious of the harnesses. Has anyone ever had a bird slip out of these? Or noticed struggle with use, or pain on the bird when flying, and what are some harness brands people may have had experience or give good reviews for? Use wise.

I would use the Aviator. It's pretty much considered the best on the market, though not easy to put on!!!

Some harnesses are bad, some are ok, and some are good. The aviator is considered the east, most comfortable, best option out there.

I have an aviator for my 'teil, so she can come out and water the garden with me in the evenings. She's all good getting it on, but she does preen at it a little when she's wearing it. She's not afraid to let me know when she isn't happy generally! But seems content in her harness
