Otto really is the perfect budgie people wish they had. I had one like Otto years ago. Buddy was my buddy. He was very bonded to me and talked, too! Who's your Buddy and Birds can't talk where his favorite words. Unfortunately Buddy died having his beak trimmed and I was crushed.
it's hard not to compare all budgies to Buddy, but I lucked out with Buddy II. I got him two years after Buddy died and he was amazing too but never talked. He lived to be 13.

I'd enjoy a beer with Otto any time! Nonalcoholic for him of course! Wouldn't Otto and Elan, my blonde bombshell, make a beautiful couple? She's a big girl- about 65 grams- but she likes smaller men. I remember when i got a very large English female, Lilibet, as a mate for a regular budge male whose girlfriend had just died from egg binding. It was so funny the look on his face when I put her in the cage with him- I swear he gave this look that screamed "Wow, she's pretty, but she's so BIG"! I just laughed and said "Don't worry. she'll be on the bottom!" and it was a love connection that I got my Rocky from.
