Fernando. Cinnamon green cheeked conured
Our little guy who is 5 months old, and has quite the vibrant personality loves to chew on the wrong things: my earrings, my headbands, and occasionally my shirt, and sometimes grocery plastic bags. We bought him TONS of toys, and took a few out for him to play with, but he doesn't have much interest unless he is chewing on us, literally! What is a good way or good toy for him? He has his beak cleaner too, and ignores that as well. He loves roaming around the house and landing in his designated hot spots, the top of the cabinet where we have our ceramic casserole dish-loves hiding in there and doing what only knows what, and the office-use the stand as his personal jungle gym, but his own little oasis, he tends to go there when he's hungry and but does not engage with his toys much. We have moved some of his toys into the office, but he's always just more interested on chewing on my hair, clothes, earring- any good tips or toys to combat this? his happy but I guess I feel he would benefit more from thriving with this own toys? ... any words of wisdom?:rainbow1:

Play with the toys your self.
Also, I would check out the top of that cabinet ,it's prolly pretty pooped up.

It can be hard to train them to chew on toys rather than other objects! Either Fernando does not like them or he would rather be closer to his human companions. I would be very careful with what he has access to from a safety point of view. Many household objects contain harmful substances such as lead and brittle pieces that can be chewed off and swallowed.
