Welcome to the forum. mango sure is a good looking YC . Where in the world did she get those light colored feet ?? She appears to be flighted, does she fly? We love pics, videos and stories so don't stop now.

Mango looks stunning!!! Very good condition. Love the name too.

More pics please :)

more about Mango

She was a one owner bird. The lady who had her for some reason couldnt keep her. There is a great birdfarm in Bellbrook Ohio and they purchased Mango. Mango was there for 2 months. She talks, will step up for just about anyone. Sings like an opera singer. Ha!
We were also looking at a baby orange wing, but the owner of the farm was very confident about how great a bird Mango was. I think he was right.

About her feet. What color should they be? Should we be concerned?

All advise appreciated. Will try to post more pics.

Mango is a beautiful amazon!!!! :)

No ,her feet are fine. They are normally a little darker than they appear in the photo. Yellow Crowns have the darker grey feet and beak, sort of like the Yellow nape. Mango looks very healthy and happy.

Beautiful and healthy looking bird you got, congrats!
Lots of luck with your new pet!

nice looking bird congradsssssss

so far so good

Mango seems to take to my fiancee, probably cause it seems most of her interaction was with a female. Dont get me wrong, she will either step up or put her head down so I can scratch her head. I am amazed at her vocabulary. We also have a young quaker parrot. We call him Poppie, but he could be a her. Never checked. Anyone with experience with amazons and another species. Can they interact?

I'm sure they would interact yes. Just make sure you follow the usual steps!!! As in don't just put the birds to gether... Start by moving the cages near each other etc. ALWAYS keep an eye on body language etc. I'm sure you know anyways ;)
Good luck with it anyway :)

wow she adorable and very healthy congrats on getting her! :)

Beautiful yca. Congrats!

Oh wow, Mango is GORGEOUS!!! :D Thanks so much for sharing him with us! :)

Mango is gorgeous! I too have gotten my birds from sugarcreek! She is a sweetie, so glad she is home with you!

Mango is very pretty!! I would also be curious to see what poppie and mango's interaction is like. Does mango scream at all?
