Since summer is going to suck this year due to everything being cancelled:(, I thought it would be a fun thread to make since were all going to be spending a lot of time in our yards, patios, decks, balconies etc... so share your outdoor spaces/projects here!

I’ve been seeing what I can do to make our front porch and back balcony a little nicer places to hang out. I redid the front porch yesterday. I used some plant stands/planters I rediscovered while decluttering and the old rug from our back balcony (which isn’t in bad condition, I’m just putting in fake grass and no longer need it). Tossed some old beach towels over the worn/dirty cushions on the bench. Oh and I totally used fake plants, because I have a brown thumb and can never keep real plants alive :o Going to be doing our back balcony today!

Great idea April! No pictures yet, but I'll get there. We've been starting a veggie garden. Pretty good size, about 50X60 feet. Also, my honey-do list has involved building a chicken coop for our 4, now 2 1/2 week old, chickies. They get to be my wife's birdies. I have my hands full enough with my dynamic duo hahaha. Chickens are totally new to us, so it's a learning curve, but SOOOO much easier than parrots. Have to admit, those little girls are cute. Today is their first ever venture outside!

Ooooh chickens! Can’t wait to see these girls now! A million years ago I attempted container gardening. It turned into a plant graveyard. Perhaps once we have a yard we can try a vegetable garden again;)

Here you go. Babies day out :-)

I’ve been focusing on outdoor spaces as well - they’ve gotten a bit overgrown in past years and this year I’m trying to catch up so I can enjoy them more.

If I keep working from home for a bit longer, and weeding on my lunch breaks....I may actually be keeping up with weed production one of these days!

This is pics of the spots that I’ve actually weeded....I’m still behind on several acres of planted areas. Although my veggie garden is in good shape and growing happily so far.
