Twitter, 3yo greencheek conure..Paco 15yo Orangewing Amazon.
It was so cute, he said a couple times, in a nice deep mans voice.Paa Coooo
I was thinking of changing his name but maybe I wont now.
He was also doing kissys to me today..Its funny, he loves me one day and the next its like I dont exist..Then he loves me again.Who knows whats going through his little birdie brain.

That's cute! Merlin says, "How are you?" in the deepest, scariest voice I've ever heard. The first time she said it, I almost fell off the couch, lol!

I should have changed Pete's name. I swear he didn't know it, and I'm not that fond of it. I call him Petey, and now he does know that.

Awwww sweet, just wait until he talks 24/7 and never keeps quite, then the games begin.
Enjoy each and every moment, they are priceless

Awwww how wonderful! I just love the sound of birdie chatter. :) Melts my heart every single time!

I know he knows a few other words like ByeBye too but havent heard him say them yet.
He does know lots of different sounds though. My hubby is really starting to like Paco.He doesnt like him to fly onto his shoulder(mostly because it hurts) but he thinks he's pretty cool..My dh is not an animal person except for his spoiled rotten boston terrier.

I haven't heard Merlin say most of the words I was told she knew. I think I have heard all of her sound effects though. But, mostly she knew the names of the other animals she lived with and she knows they aren't here. I think she said "Hi" once; supposedly she says Hi, Hello, and Bye bye, but I have not heard them yet.

With Pete his former owner seemed to not want to be bothered to tell me what he can say. So it's been a learning experience. And some of what he used to say, I haven't heard him say for a long time and now he's saying new things instead. He used to yell out, "Yabba Dabba Do!" which made me laugh, but he doesn't say it anymore.

I love the way he tried to say his name, sounds adorable. :)

Merlin's still kinda mumbling/whistling his words, so I think it's gonna be a little while yet for him.

Thats funny, Id like to teach Paco to say Yabba dabba do...I dont think the kids these days even know what thats from...My son wants to teach his teil to talk or whistle. Its never been much of a priority with me but I do think its cool when they say stuff.Ive been trying to teach my conure to say Goodnight for a year now with no results.

Rowdy took forever to say goodnight, and as of now she is the only one saying it. And in her case I think it was because my BC said it that she decided to as well. And she has never said good morning even though I say it every day to her.

None of my birds has ever said bye bye. But, I think they don't like bye bye, lol!

I admit, I enjoy birds talking. It helps when you are long divorced with no children to have someone to talk to, even if it's like talking to a 2 year old.

The conure will give me kisses. She loves to give kisses at night after I cover her cage. She gets rather frantic with them because she hates bedtime.

Lol! Rowdy is exactly the same! I have to give her what seems like 50 of them, with her yelling, "Kiss!" I spend 4x as long putting her to bed than the others.

How sweet! you must have been thrilled :)

I have to tell you though that ever since you posted this every once in awhile, in my head, I hear a deep voice say, "Paa Coo". I guess I think it's really funny the way he said it. I think it's going to haunt me, lol!

Aww ,it's really cute when they learn to say their name :)
And you said he has a deep manly voice too , lolol. Maybe like Sean Connery ?
That would be wonderful , I could listen to him all day , lolol.

Lol, Sean Connery. He does have a great voice. With me it's always been Stone Phillips; I could listen to him all day.

I was on the phone with my mom yesterday and she said, "Who is over there talking?" I said it was Pete. She said, "He sounds like a woman!" I had to say, I know, he usually does.

Oh that's too funny , lolol.
