2 female budgies i have a green named tofu she is 1 years old(she turned one years old in April) and i have a blue budgie named sky she is the younger one she is younger then tofu by a few days
Can birds digest paper if they swallowed it?

Not to be to much of a nerd, but that depends of what type of paper. Glossy and mate finished paper common used in Magazines will not. Paper towel will not because its thickness and the normal speed of their gut. Toilet paper many pass, but it depend on whether it clump, much the same for News Paper.

Although it may look like they are eating it, but more commonly ,they are creating very tiny bits and at most they may intake very tiny fragments.

FYI Magazine /flyers are considered dangerous especially if they are printed.

Thanks for the info!
well I asked this question because sky keeps eating paper towels and paper if I give it to her she thinks its food and I believe that sky eats it all because when I look at her if she drops(the paper or paper towel) she doesn't drop anything so your saying plain papers can be digested?.

Please re-read my reply: "Although it may look like they are eating it, but more commonly ,they are creating very tiny bits and at most they may intake very tiny fragments." Those tiny fragments will commonly pass.

It's fine.... they are just destroying.... if they do eat it it's a tiny bit and no big deal will just pass through, but birds chew on paper all the time.
