Paprika?s tail feathers are concerning me. They always seem disheveled and not together. She has lost about half of her original baby feathers and even the new ones seem to be the same. I don?t see stress bars on them, they just don?t seem to latch.

Could it be her playing in her cage? Am I being an overly cautious dad ?

Tucker's tail is like that all the time too. I've never figured out if he's over preening, damaging it while climbing, or if it gets beat up from lots of flight time around the house, but yeah, exactly like that. Definitely not lack of space, his cage is enormous. He's strong and healthy, so I just go with it. It does make me a little crazy sometimes though. New ones look perfect for the first few days, then back to... That. :)
