Aphrodite - red throated conure (RIP)
As promised, some glamor shots of Parker the parrot. This one is when I discovered he LOVES rice so I'm feeding him out of my hand

We're all watching so you think you can dance. Packers not impressed, buts he's awfully comfy sitting on my knee

Oh he's super cute! He looks so friendly too:) I bet with some TLC and a good diet, he will be fully feathered in no time.

I really hope so kiwi! He's actually bare along the top underside of his wings. It's so sad to see. But we're playing with various foods so it's getting better already. He's lukewarm on cherries and peppers, wants nothing to do with kiwis.

Look at that beautiful candy corn beak! Sweet! Plucking is such a difficult behavior, but I'm hoping that, as April (Kiwibird) said, the love and care you're giving him, combined with a good diet, will have him fully feathered sometime soon.

Keep the pics and updates coming, Chris!

I'm so happy to see photos of Parker! He's a beautiful boy. I see he is already training you to feed him by hand - LOL!

Keep the photos coming!

Parker is just beautiful. I'm so happy he is with you now:) You are going to have some wonderful before/after pictures because I think he is going to thrive in your care.

Thank you terry for the kind words. He's already getting great care: eating fruits and veggies, plus starting daily baths with quaternary ammonia (if I recall the ingredients of the soothing spray). I'm hoping it translates to better feathering but if it doesn't then at least I'm addressing his most pressing concerns and underlying issues.

Shawna, you are t kidding. I was worried this morning cause he wouldn't eat unless it came from my hand but tonight proved that to be a fluke :)
