I might be getting one sometime soon.

I just have some questions before I fully decide.

1. Are they loud birds?
Im pretty sure they can't be as loud as my Alexandrines :p

2. How friendly are they? Could they be good with children? As I might take it with me to work (at a childcare centre). I have taken Yuki (alexnadrine) a few times, and shes been so gentle with them. Of course it was all supervised.

3. Mimicking ability, I know all birds are different but do they tend to mimic sounds, like the phone, alarms etc.

I didn't find much on the net about them, so if anyone knows a good site, I would love to know.

Also I would love to know the ups and downs.

Thank you C:
It's hard to find any conure where I live, it's pretty rare for one to pop up. And I have a chance to get one, so I wanna know everything first : D

:D

I don't have a lot of experience with Peach Fronts, but I think I can make a good guess on some of your questions.

1. Are they loud? They probably can be as they are in the Aratinga conure family. I would expect contact calls, alarm calls and some happy vocalizations that can be on the loud side.

2. Conures are generally pretty friendly and usually like a variety of people. My conure loves kids, even loud kids, but she can get aggressive and she can bite hard.

3. Conures don't seem to imitate sounds much other than some speech. Some are very good talkers and some mumble in a little old man's voice and are hard to understand. I don't think you can predict this one. Although Rowdy seems to have learned how to imitate a fart recently:rolleyes:

Thank you for replying C:
That is what I was kind of expecting from a conure C:

Are conure's aggressive to other birds?

They can be aggressive to other birds, even large ones. It usually seems to be due to jealousy.
