Pedi Perch - Which size for GCC?

I'd like to purchase a pedi perch (helps keep nails trimmed) for our GCC. The sizes are as follows:

SMALL: 6 inches length, 0.5 inches diameter

MEDIUM: 8 inches length, 1 inch diameter

Which size would be most appropriate?

I can't visualize them, but with the pedi-perch types the smaller is usually better. They have to make contact with the perch with their nails which is more easily achieved with a tighter grip.
