I just love the infinite range of sounds and whistles and beeps and noises a grey makes. I would sit in the recliner next to Smokey while she was on her roof top doing her thanngg and be totally captivated by her diversity of sounds.
Dang I so miss that bird :15:
It is so quiet in your house. Levi is more vocal with background noise.
When it's quiet in the house, you'd never know a parrot lived here.
Levi also does the cell phone alarm and local bird sounds. But, my fave by far, is R2D2. I may just have to teach that to Levi as well. I think my son would get a kick out of that.
Even though Amy talks fairly well and BB is an excellent whistler,I surely miss "the sounds" that Smokey made. Ringing and answering the phone in my mom's voice, someone knocking at the door,my alarm clock going off,and she had a GREAT vocabulary.Maybe some day another grey will come into our lives
I recently had a yamaha MT10 stolen from me, I bought a new BMW S1000R and immediately had an alarm fitted to it. The guy set the alarm off twice when he was showing me how it worked. Enzo picked it up and now when she does my bike alarm sound a couple of times a day. So greys picking up sounds quickly is not always a good thing.... im forever running to my garage to make sure my bike is still there!
