I see stuff like this online all the time. I can't worry about it or I'd worry myself into fearful misery. I bet if all our food supply items were tested nothing would be "safe"!

Kale is surprisingly easy to grow. I've got three plants going now that I planted last October. They're out in a raised bed with zero protection from heat, or cold. I have other plants I started in the early spring, but the ones that overwintered are much stronger growers, and those three plants provide most of my kale, and I eat it a LOT. Good stuff. Grown yourself the fresh stalks are mildly sweet tasting, like really good broccoli is 🤤

Ollie still won't go near leafy greens. He thinks lettuce is the boogie man. But I was told kale is the highest nutritional green for them. I was hoping that he would start eating it. But now...

My macaw will not touch kale (nor will I). 🥴 He loves baby red Swiss chard so much his nickname is “Chard Boy.” 😂 Everything is contaminated with something it seems.

My budgies like romaine, the outer green leaves, the best i give it to them almost every day along with chop, budgie seed mix and whatever else I have that they want (within reason). They like corn on the cob, rice, noodles and scrambled eggs. Whenever we sit down to eat they have to sample our food. My husband jokes that they eat better than he does!
For some reason they also want soups and whatever beverages we're drinking and we have to be careful with soups and hot coffee so they don't get burned. They love beer especially and try to drink it from the groove on the top of the can. One tiny sip is all they get. They love fresh orange juice and I let them sip it from my glass but they tend to want to bathe in liquids and I don't want to have to wash a budgie! I don't even know how I would do that if they dove into a glass of OJ. I'm sure it would be traumatic to have to hold a budgie under the faucet to rinse him off!
