Phoe's new toy

We just got a shipment of new toys in, and we ordered some of those Talk N Play bird toys. I put one in with Phoenix, my conure, and another in with PeeWee & Sproutlet, my parrotlets. Well, PeeWee discovered his last night and after he realized that Sproutlet doesn't like the voice that comes from it, he runs to it every time she gets snippy and just presses and presses the button to make her go away. Phoe just discovered his, and is pressing all the buttons non stop. It says"Hello", "Calling all birds", I love you" and has this maniacal laugh that he is hooked on. Wonder how many hours of this before I decide this toy wasn't such a good idea?

Considering the hazards that exist inside the toy (circuit board, batteries), it's not something I'd give to my birds. Plus, I read some enlightening reviews on Amazon. One review says their african grey broke the mirror into pieces with very sharp edges and another reviewer said their caique cracked the mirror. And of course larger birds like macaws and 'toos can tear these things apart in no time at all.

My barraband can hardly tear paper (spastic) so I can't see him having any issues with one

My birds who have it are also small and I do not think it will be a problem for them. I would be more worried with my bigger guys. So far, they are just pushing the buttons, it is hard for them to get a purchase on the rounded corners
