What a cute little YSA!
I can see so much more yellow on the head and shoulders, also more blue in the cheeks than my Marley. Other than that looks just like my Marley...
Love how he looks into the camera. Smart little guy.

The picture really doesn't do him justice how bright his colors are. I met his older sister and she put the dyha that was sitting next to her to shame. She had even more yellow on her. I think Mango might get a little more yellow on his face as he gets older, this post molt it covered a little more area.

Not for nothing, Billy, but you seem to really have a strong dislike for Amazons OTHER than Yellow Shouldered. I understand you find your Mango to be the most beautiful bird in the word, as you should, but please remember, to each their own.

I don't dislike other Amazons, I actually think dyha are the prettiest, just that Mangos sister was nicer looking than the one next to her.

I have seen too many people get birds they can't handle, I know someone recently who had to rehome a umbrella cockatoo, because they didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

I know people who have bf and yn amazons and they became nasty. Many of them are nice, I will take my chances with a species that is less hormonal and has less of a chance of taking my nieces finger off. Many of you with more experience than me have no issues keeping the harder to keep birds. So when someone who never had a Amazon comes looking for advice I think we would be doing them a favor by steering them towards the easier to deal with species. Remember I almost bought a Mexican red head but Mangos personality won me over.

I did a tremendous amount of research and asked a lot of questions before I made my purchase. I also thank all of you for helping me. Unfortunately a lot of people don't consider that this animal will be with them for the rest of their life. How do you think I ended up with my cousins quaker. I did not want a quaker, he is nice but I rather have a senegal if I was getting a little parrot. But the quaker needs a good home and at the moment I'm his best bet.

Hey Billy, it's just happens so that a lot of people who go for Amazon parrot go straight to the most popular species. Not everyone goes through a lot of research as you did. Not a lot of people know how sweet of an Amazon parrot YSA is as a result of this. I think you and I did a lot for making sure people on this forum know that by now......
They are very pretty too, but for everyone on this forum their own parrot is the most beautiful, I am sure.

You can't even see yellow patches on her shoulders....haha. But they are there, just not as much as Mango has right now.
BTW, she is saying "hi" as you can see in the picture...........

Thank you, her new feathers are much better looking than the ones I got her with, specially her tail.....no more rust at the edge of her feathers...
Actually to teach her to say "hi" was so easy, that I can't even tell you I really work on that with her at all.
What I did was - I held a cheerio in one hand and tapped on her foot a little with my other hand saying "high 4" and raising my hand at the same time.
The second she picked her foot, she had her cheerio. I am lucky she LOVES her cheerios, it makes it easy for me to work with her. I think she picked it up on the 3rd or 4th try.
She is doing "turn around", "wave" and I just started "show your wings" with her, but she doesn't know what I want from her on this one yet......
I wish I had more time to work with her, I think she likes it.
