Picking up 2 budgies tomorrow!! :)

Some of you know I've been searching for budgies lately, and I came across an ad on CL today for a pair of budgies needing a new home....about a 15/20 minute drive from me...both supposedly females. One is blue/white named Cloud and the other is yellow named Lemon. they are super cute.
Anyways, she originally wanted $65 (both birds, toys, food, cage, etc). I emailed her earlier and explained that I've been looking for budgies to adopt as friends for my lonely budgie, and that I'm an experienced bird-keeper. She said that she would love to adopt them to me! And gave me her phone number. I asked her though if $40 cash would be acceptable instead of $65 since they'll be going to the AVet ASAP to get checked out. She said that was fine since she wanted to make sure they're going to a good home and asked that I stay in contact with her and give her updates -and of course I will So! I'm supposed to go pick them up in the morning!! Yay!!! I'm still waiting for her her to give me an address or place to meet her at...so everyone cross your fingers this won't fall through!

I'm really excited!!! I've already had a "deal" for a pair of budgies fall through recently, so this is more promising but I'm worried right now since it's almost 9pm and she hasn't text me back with a location

OMG SO CUTE! I hope everything works out well. It's not cheap taking any bird to get a check up, especially two! I've always felt like the budgies get the bad end because their inexpensive. People can't bring themselves to spend 200-300+ on a $17 birdie. I hope she understands her birdies are going to a AWESOME home!

Ok so we decided on 4 pm, but I havent decided on picking them up at her apartment or in a store parking lot...???

Hubby will be gone working today, so I'll be alone unless I can find a friend or someone to go with me. I don't really want to go alone either

you could meet her in the lobby of the building....I've done that plenty of times....but glad you mom is going....it's so much better when someone is with you!

I know- working in a bank for 10 years made me really paranoid and skeptical of strangers lol

I can't wait to get them home and settled in! I won't be able to take them for check ups right away, so they'll be in quarantine in hubby's office (seperate air space).

They're very cute!!!! Good luck getting them today! I've got two boys, adopted two awhile back and the female died for some reason then the male was murdered as he was going into cockatiels nest box to feed cockatiel chicks, the momma was not pleased. But my two boys that we rescued years ago are still doing well. So this time when someone give me another male I give him to my wonderful neighbor who loves animals. I figured two is what I must stay with.

Ya know, I actually had the same thought yesterday lol I think Lemon **might** be a boy...in the first picture Lemon's cere seems to look bluish, but in the second picture it doesn't...so I guess we'll find out for sure when I pick them up

I've had to borrow my BIL's suv for the day because the jetta's radiator seems to have a leak, along with a couple more issues and the kid will be staying with my MIL while I go pick up Cloud and lemon- I feel safer leaving him at home. Lol
