Welcome Skittles. She looks to be such a sweetie. :)

Is that a baby Sun? I have a Skittles too!

Pretty colours. She's so bright.

Yes she is a baby Sun Conure. 3 months old. I have been told she will get even more vibrant when she molts. Since you have one, was that your experience?

Skittles is gorgeous! I have been wanting a Sun for awhile, but have managed to fight the urge. But with all these cute pics of your babies, I don't know how I will manage to resist!

Well Chelle, since Skittys_daddy has a Sun Skittles too, you'll have to have your Skittles go by her FULL name whenever you mention her. LOL, no, just kidding :)

Congrats, your baby looks so sweet ;)

SKITTLES taste the Rainbow Rose!!!!

@Chelle Yes, your Skittles will get more vibrant after her first molt. Suns are mostly green as babies for defensive reasons. To protect them from predators, they are more 'camouflage' until they are old enough to fend for themselves. Usually at 6 months old they begin to grow their new coat. When I got my Skittles, he was exactly 1yr 2wks old and had already experienced his full molt.

If I may add, suns are VERY destructive chewers so make sure she has plenty of chew toys (when she is old enough to safely chew toys, lol) to help dissuade her from destroying furniture or chewing on things she shouldn't.

Also, diet and exercise are key. You'll want to feed her a well balanced diet. I feed my Skittles Harrisons pellets & give him power treats during the day. I also feed him fresh fruit and veggies and occasionally pasta.
